  • Week 1: First Things First: Let’s identify that goal of yours and make sure you are clear about your reasons for improving your health.  This week you will learn which “stage of change” you are currently in which will help you plan your next step for success.
  • Week 2:  Scout Lessons—Preparation: You will learn how to gather the important physical and emotional items together to ensure your success over the next several weeks! 
  • Week 3:  Think SMART/Be Smart: Learn about the SMART system and put it to work for you to make your health goals attainable.
  • Week 4:  Cravings, Gremlins and Other Unwanted Thoughts: Learn the best strategies for banishing those sneaky and persistent thoughts that tempt you to sink back into the cushions of the couch!
  • Week 5:  Eating for 20:  Emotions, Stress and Food:  Understand how our emotional reactions and daily stressors impact our food choices and learn how to identify and defuse those triggers.
  • Week 6: Celebrate Good Times, Come On! Just like the lyrics to the old Kool and the Gang song, this is the time to acknowledge and celebrate your success and achievements with your group members!

Group Coaching and  teleworkshop courses are conducted over the phone using a bridge conference call.  This means all group members call into the same number and are “bridged” into a conference call.  It is similar to a lecture or discussion group.  The participants listen to the material being presented by the Teleworkshop Leader or experience coaching and engage in the discussion just as you would in a live classroom setting. 

Course Structure
In each of the six weeks, you will be provided with:
  • Great Information:  Each hour you will be presented with the material for the week in a fun and entertaining manner!
  • Team Membership:  Experience the energy and support of a group setting.  Offer support to others while moving toward the achievement of your own healthy goals!
  • Homework: Don’t worry, you won’t be required to weigh in or tell the group your exercise routine each week!  This homework is fun and it will provide you with valuable insights as to your where you may be holding yourself back as well as teach you how to employ your strengths to keep you on track towards reaching your goals.  A huge benefit is it will keep you motivated through the week until the next week’s session.
  • You will be presented with an on-line Yahoo! Discussion Group to share insights and progress. You will be able to ask questions so that you have your own learning forum 24/7 to interact with the other participants in the group.
